I’ve always been drawn to the small details of everyday life, especially the quiet ways culture shows up in the spaces we grow up in. This piece reflects that observation.
The composition is based on a top view of a gali (or sheri), where a dense network of wires and kite threads stretches from house to house. A bird moves through this space as a quiet observer, echoing my own perspective.
The overlapping lines divide the composition into sections, each defined by distinct textures and soft pastel tones. Together, these elements capture the layered, interconnected nature of the environment and how it subtly shapes the way we see and experience the world.
